Serious Security Lapse near Rajasthan Border

It's barely 26 days to the Black Wednesday when 10 Terrorists raped the city of Mumbai over and over for 59 hours and now again this news shows a serious security issue with another of our Natural Border: The Thar Desert (First one being the Sea). This time a tunnel which runs from Pakistan to India has been discovered by the Border Security Force (BSF) and they explain they actually don't know how long could this be operational.

So now anyone who can't afford the luxury of crossing the Indo-Pak border can sneak through the tunnel safely with his family of known and unknown terrorists and may be they are doing so for many years. Great discovery by the way! I guess this is not a lapse but I would rather name it a failure on the part of Security Personnel who are deployed there. Didn't some one interrogate the scores of people who were caught crossing the border with the way they used to enter India?? This is getting serious by the day. Imagine for what all purposes such a 'Silk Route' can be used. You can get people, drugs, Fake Currency, Weapons and even Terrorists easily from the other side of the Border.

I do not blame the forces altogether but yes there has to be some stritct vigil across our already vulnerable borders. My only concern here is the money of tax payers like us should be utilized in a organized fashion not merely in recreation of the VIPs. I respect the refusal by Mr. P Chidambaram to accept Z-Level personal security but loath VIPs who just mis-utilize their stardom and waste our Security Personnel's resources and time.

I as a citizen am ready to get a millitary training to defend myself and my family if need be. I hope every other youth like me is ready to do so. If 5% of the population is given Self Defense training and basic arms knowledge the number of people who fall victim to such attacks like the one in Mumbai will be reduced to a great extent.

If we plan out well and execute our plans also well we can at least save our souls!
