May The Force Be With You!

2 Days ago I was listening to an FM Radio Station and the RJ announced the story of how Mr. Big B: Amitabh Bachchan managed to take a Revolver along with him to the Airport that too without the relevant license papers. Here is what happened.

Mr. Amitabh Bachchan had to travel from Mumbai to Pune and he was to board a Jet Airways flight from the Chattrapati Shivaji International Airport (Domestic one) at Santa Cruz. Let me tell you that after the terror attacks last week and the threat to blow up some aircrafts by the terrorist groups, the security checks at the airports have been tripled according to sources. Our Mr Bachchan was carrying a gun probably a revolver for his protection obviously na!!

At the airport the staff checks you now in 6 stages instead of the regular 2 stages (including frisking & luggage checks). To my amazement Big B passed 5 stages clean!! In the 6th stage when you can see the aircraft and you have alighted the Bus and all, the final stage of frisking happens just before you board the plane. A security official spotted the gun at this stage, and inquired if he had the papers. Big B produced some papers but they were later found out to be of another gun from his collection of 3 guns. Since this case involved Big B so the CISF personnel were not informed and he was just issued a Warning.

One more thing irritates me here, when the gun had to be deposited at the counter there at the airport and Big B had to board the plane without it, he refused to do so. His Secretary was called from his Car and this guy took his gun home. I wonder a person who is not travelling by the flight and who doesnt have a boarding pass was allowed all the way till the aircraft or another scenario seems possible of Big B going all the way to the Visitor's Lounge to meet the Secretary to send his Arm home. Wonderful isn't it??

What else do you expect after such a lax security that too at the Airport?

I feel the need for this one: no VIP like Mr Big B or be it any minister be given any VIP treatment at any public place except the T.V Set and if some VIP is caught in acts such as these he must face public wrath and should be liable for a public apology.
