What Affects the World Affects You
I guess some of you won't agree to this but yes if a woman is raped and murdered in remote corners of Kosovo, it affects you. If a bomb goes off in Karachi, it has global repurcursions and you therefore are a part of the news if you read it. I used to say that how does it matter to me if India wins the World Cup? It is not just the victim that the bomb kills but it also causes a lot of mixed emotions in the minds of people who witnesss these acts directly or indirectly.
Mind according to me is an amalgamation of emotions which has a network of neurons which react to news and form views about it. In totality if you have read a particular news item it is recorded in your mind as a viewpoint in some remote, hidden, enigmatic corner of your brilliant brain. Mind need not always create speech it may just share the idea expressed by the text or image recorded by you earlier stored in your Hard-Disk in the form of viewpoints. If you actually try to find out your views about a particular topic you will find out that almost 99% of your views are influenced ones. So can I say that there is no original thought? No, I can't say that because human mind is so brilliant that when you see two or three similar events you can change your opinion unlike a computer which learns from facts not emotions.
Life is not about all zeroes and ones not all black or all white, we have shades of grey, purple, blue, red, green and yellow in it. All apples dont fall doesnt mean there is no gravity. Conclusions do not indicate the end has arrived. According to Newton's laws, the position and speed of an object in consideration is relative to the observer. You can't decide about a person simply because he/she seems so. I know this sounds too philosophical but if you see with the eyes of a camera at an height of 30,000 ft and gradually zoom in, you will see black turning grey and bushes turning into forests.
Its not about being a mile wide and an inch deep, or vice versa. You can see through red glasses and say the world is red but may be there are no glasses at all. I dont know the link but there is a cosmatic connection between people and emotions but you can feel it when you can't explain certain behaviours of certain people at certain times.
Time perhaps is the most quintessential delusion that you have to live with. There is nothing which is not time bound. History is time, at an earlier page and present is the page being viewed by you. You can read another book and find time being interpreted differently by different people. It is your choice to agree or not, time always advances to a new page each (time) you think it has.
What if you think there is no time??? Try to wake up from your dream you will realize.
Can you find someone who doesn't believe in time? Are there time-atheists?

ReplyDeleteThe reason is TIME itself. Time for me is the most valueable matter in this world. You talk to a person, you are sharing your time with him. You see any movie, you are sharing your time with the actors, audiences. I AM commenting here, I'm talking to you through words, giving you a portion of my time.
I mean this is something which you share. You will not get back your share, yet its worth noticing that you're receiving someone else's share of time.
There are many thoughts & stories that I have shared with namu, you, rahim, kashy, our whole gang...all about time. And seeing you put something on time into words is appreciable :)
